How does laser tattoo removal work?

Our pigmentation removal laser, Q-Switch Medlite C6, helps speed up the natural fading process by shattering the large ink particles into smaller pieces. Your body’s own immune system then follows the natural course of disposing of the ink particles through the lymphatic system.

No matter the size of the tattoo, multiple treatments are required to achieve the desired results. Please call us for a consultation with our laser specialist prior to making an appointment.

What to expect during and after the appointment?

  • Very quick procedure, only takes a minute or less to laser the tattoo

  • Feels like sunburn at the treated areas (ice pack can be used to reduce the heat)

  • Your tattoo immediately appears lighter right after lasering, then darker with redness and swelling on treated areas (20-30 minutes later); it might take a few days to a week to notice the results

  • Blisters are possible after treatment

  • Treatment sessions are spaced 4-6 weeks apart

  • 4-10 sessions are required to achieve the expected results
